Small Grants for Big Changes
Improving the appearance of our historic downtown takes all of us working together. In this spirit of collaboration, MACC is pleased to debut our new Downtown Beautification Micro Grants for 2022. These small grants are intended to help business and individuals make improvements to the exteriors of their businesses and homes as a way to keep enhancing the beauty of downtown.
Grant money may be used for any of the following exterior improvements. This list is not all-inclusive, and we encourage creativity in applying grant funds!
Purchasing planters, flowers, or improving landscaping in front of the business
Painting business façade, trim, or door
Exterior renovations to improve the appearance of the storefront
Improving outdoor lighting
New or improved signage
Purchasing “open for business” flags to draw customers to the business
Commissioning outdoor artwork or window art
Project proposals should be submitted on Google Forms or emailed to maccdirector@gmail.com. Project proposals are reviewed and awarded in July. Three (3) business/non-profit micro grants, each worth $250.00, and one (1) individual micro grant worth $100.00 are available to our members this year.
Grant applications are due by July 1st, 2022 at 11:59 pm.
