Downtown Beautification Micro Grants

Morrisville Alliance for Culture and Commerce (MACC) is pleased to offer grant funding for external improvements for our business community. Our goal is to encourage downtown and North End businesses to invest in beautifying their storefronts to enhance the appearance of our historic downtown and North End. Grant money may be used for any of the following exterior improvements. This list is not all- inclusive, and we encourage creativity when applying for grant funds.

- Purchasing planters, flowers, or improving landscaping in front of the business

- Painting business façade, trim, or door

- Exterior renovations to improve the appearance of the storefront.

- Improving outdoor lighting

- New or improved signage or seating area

- Purchasing “open for business” flags to draw customers to the business.

- Commissioning outdoor artwork or window art

Project Proposals for Micro Grants are on a rolling basis with a current yearly limit of (6) $350.00 grants.

and non-profit members this year.

Recipients of Downtown Beautification Micro Grants must abide by the following rules:

1. Recipient must be a current MACC member-see attached.

2. Beautification Micro-Grants are paid out to recipients as reimbursement for monies spent on improvements made to the exterior of the business, including façade, landscaping, or signage.

3. Recipients must submit receipts to MACC within six (6) months from the date of the award with a picture of the completed project to receive reimbursement.

4. The recipient is responsible for ensuring beautification projects are in accordance with town regulations regarding zoning, signage, sidewalks, etc.

5. Recipients must submit “before and after” photos of the project to MACC. Recipients must agree to allow MACC to use photos of the finalized project on MACC website, social media, and marketing materials.
