Gary Rushford and Brad Limoge have begun a fundraising campaign to remount the Civil War cannon found in Academy Park on a replica of its original carriage. The pair’s interest in this restoration project is part personal as Limoge is a Civil War re-enactor with the Vermont Civil War Hemlocks and Rushford has long been a member of the Lamoille Valley County Veterans of Foreign Wars post 9653. But it is the intent to honor all veterans who have served our country that drives this project. Rushford gained experience raising funds for similar projects when he helped raise the funds to build the Veterans Memorial situated nearby the Civil War cannon.

If you are interested in helping support this project, please visit the gofundme page the pair has set up.
